Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/18 19:31 Hello again. It is true that somehow we are still here in spite of it all. Although the concept "if it doesn't kill you it makes you stronger" is not one I agree with completely. Sometimes it just wears you down. Like the evil MAC bacteria! As to the word dreet. I don't know it's origin. It's been in family and friend vocabulary for as long as I can remember. It' just a 5 letter word for a lot of 4 letter words like crap and poop and others! The weather here is HOT HOT HOT but I try to go outside in the sunshine for at least a 1/2 hour a day. I also take the Vit.D3 400mg 3X a day. I had been taking plain D for years to boost calcium absorbtion then after reading here about D3 I switched to that one. I am willing to try most anything to feel healthier. I haven't tried the tea yet. Are there different types or formulas? Where do you purchase your supply? Intresting to read that the doc said the phlegm and cough are from the secondary bronchatastis. That sounds very likely as I have never a coughing problem with the MAC and except for mild emphysema have no other lung issues.

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/18 22:08 Hi Ladyblue,

Breathe Deep Tea by Yogi Teas can be purchased at most big supermarkets in the health food/natural food aisle, and is at Whole Foods and also at many Health Food Stores. There is only one Breathe Deep Tea, and that is made by Yogi. It now runs about $5.15 in the regular markets and $4.79 at the Health Food Store. You can also look them up online at yogiteas.com. However, TRY the tea first before purchasing large amounts online, so you can see if you like it.

I make mine double-strength in the morning and drink more in winter than in summer.
Love the taste and I do not sweeten it as it is naturally sweet, but honey is supposed to be good for expectoration so you can add that if you like.

Am using 5,000 IU Vitamin D-3 most every day, and get it at Good Health natural food/drug store.

Also am using the Himalayan Crystal Salt Inhaler ($39.99) several times a week while watching television.

All these methods are natural.

GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING! And let me know if you like the tea.

Buzzy

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/18 22:25 Hey Buzzy, I responded to your concern on the original fourth page of this thread. It's been removed from the forum for some reason. Anyway, I hope you saw it so you wouldn't be concerned. -Chris

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/18 22:32 Buzzy, I meant to say that the entire fourth page of the thread was removed from the site. It included my post and posts from others also. -Chris

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/18 22:53 I can't remember it well but and may be leaving out some stuff, but I think there was a post from Helen asking about vitamin d testing that you responded to. I also responded and directed her to the March Vitamin D newsletter you posted on this forum and I quoted two paragraphs from the newsletter that told about the test they recommended. -Chris

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/19 02:01 Hi Chris: I don't think anything was removed intentionally. This site doesn't have a web master to monitor posts. Did you go up to the "search forum" on the top of the page to search for the information? Carole

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/19 03:12 No. I just knew there was a page missing from the thread and then remembered as best I could what was on it. I'm not extremely computer savvy. It may be a bug in their forum software that caused it. I wanted Buzzy to be reassured that I was OK with what she had said to me so that was my greatest concern. I also wanted Helen to have a chance to get an answer to her question about the vitamin d test. Thanks for helping to educate me on these types of things. -Chris

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/19 03:31 Hi Chris,

Glad you cleared that up. Whatever it was....it's so hot in New England I can't hear my brain think. It's the exact opposite of being snowed in during a raging blizzard...I am a prisoner in my own home and dare venture outside only for short trips and to refill the bird bath or water the unblighted tomatoes. I cannot WAIT for this heat wave to ease up so I can weed whack all that needs whacking, which is most of the back yard. Ok, it's BETTER than a blizzard...far better than a blizzard...but am stuck in the house just the same. Tomorrow the air quality will be Yellow instead of Orange, which is much healthier. Soon it will be in the Green zone, less humid and I will be free to watch those young roofer guys laying the roof and wishing I was a roof.

Just wanted to say this: I love all of you a whole lot! Thanks for being there.

Re:Buzzy - How are you??? - 2009/08/19 18:27 Thanks for the info regarding the tea. I have to venture out in today so will try to pick some up. Hopefully I won't melt on the way to the car! It is hot hot hot!I walk around muttering "better sweat than snow shovel" but it doesn't help much. Had a roof put on my porch last week. Seems New Jersey crews aren't as delightful as New England! I was worried they would collapse the house! The smell from the tar wasn't too bad I kept the house closed tight but had to forgo sitting on the porch for a few nights. The heat and humidity really affects the breathing.
